Report content and stay safe

Report posts, comments, livestreams, reviews, or profiles, track your reports and appeals, and block or mute accounts.

safetyreportsprivacy

You can report content and people directly where you see them, follow up on every report you submit, and control who can interact with you through blocking, muting, and privacy settings. If you run the Space and need the owner-side workflow for acting on reports, open Manage members, roles, moderation, reports, and community credits alongside this guide.

Before you start

  • Sign in; reporting and the Reports & Appeals page need an active profile.
  • Reports are available on discussion posts, comments, livestreams, product reviews, wanted posts, and user profiles.
  • Every report needs a reason; the form will not submit without one.

Report content or a user

  1. Open the actions menu on the post, comment, livestream, review, or profile you want to report.
  2. Choose the report option, pick a reason in the Report content dialog, and submit.
  3. Open Settings > Community > Reports & Appeals to track reports you submitted and moderation actions that affect your content; each row shows a status such as resolved, dismissed, or actioned.
  4. When a moderation action against your content shows as actioned, fill in Appeal details on that row and select Submit appeal.

Block, mute, and protect your account

  1. Open Settings > Account > Privacy.
  2. Set who can follow and message you, plus read receipts and typing indicators.
  3. Use the Blocked and Muted tabs to review and manage the accounts you have blocked or muted.
  4. Contact the team from the Support page for anything urgent that reporting does not cover.

Expected result

Unsafe content reaches moderators with a clear reason, you can see the outcome of every report, appeal actions against your own content, and limit contact from accounts you have blocked or muted.

Troubleshooting

  • If the report button does not submit, choose a reason first; it is required.
  • If the Reports & Appeals page is empty, you have no submitted reports or appealable moderation actions yet.
  • If someone still appears in your feed after blocking, mute them as well; blocking and muting are managed separately.
